当該取り組みのネットワーキング活動の一環として、社会人博士支援に関する一般向けのセミナーを数回開催予定です。
As part of the network activities, several seminars for the general public on the support of working PhDs will be held.

第1回目は、「『博士号をメルカリでどう活かす？』PhDによってスケールするメルカリグループの未来とは」というテーマで、メルカリからみたPhD取得者への期待や現場のリアルを議論し、社会人博士進学を支援する価値について発信しました。
The first seminar was themed “‘How to maximize PhD at Mercari?’ What is the future of the Mercari Group scaled by PhD” and we have discussed the expectations of PhD holders from the perspective of Mercari and the reality in the actual scene, and disseminate the value of supporting working adults to advance doctoral programs.

第2回目である今回は、複数の大学関係者を招聘し、「大学からみたPhDの未来」について議論することで、大学が企業に対し抱いている期待を知るとともに、今後あるべき産学官の連携のヒントを探っていきます。
In this second session, we are inviting several university representatives to discuss "The Future of PhD from the Perspective of Universities" in order to know the expectations universities have for companies and to explore tips for ideal industry-academia-government collaboration.

標葉 隆馬（Ryuma Shineha）/ 大阪大学 社会技術共創研究センター（ELSIセンター）准教授

2011年3月に京都大学大学院生命科学研究科博士課程修了。博士（生命科学）。 総合研究大学院大学先導科学研究科・助教、成城大学文芸学部・准教授を経て、2020年4月より現職。大学教員12年目突入。

Ph.D. in March 2011 from Graduate School of Biostudies, Kyoto University. Ph.D. in Biostudies. After working as Assistant Professor at The Department of Evolutionary Studies of Biosystems, SOKENDAI (the Graduate University for Advanced Studies) and Associate Professor at Faculty of Literature, Seijo University, he has been in his current position since April 2020. He has been a university faculty for 12 years.

専門は科学社会学・科学技術政策論。先端科学技術の倫理的・法的・社会的課題（Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues: ELSI）の分析と可視化、メディア分析、コミュニケーションデザイン、政策分析などをテーマに、複数のプロジェクトをPIとしてマネジメントしながら幅広く研究・実践中。

He specializes in Sociology of Science and Science and Technology Policy. Currently he is widely conducting research and practice while managing multiple projects as a PI on themes such as Analysis and Visualization of ELSI(Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues), Media Analysis, Communication Design, Policy analysis.

主著に『責任ある科学技術ガバナンス概論』（ナカニシヤ出版 2020）、ほか論文等多数。
Author of “Responsible Science and Technology Governance Introduction” (Nakanishiya Publishing 2020) and many other papers.

佐古 和恵 (Kazue Sako) / 早稲田大学 基幹理工学部 情報理工学科　教授

NEC中央研究所にてセキュリティ・プライバシー・公平性保証の研究に従事。2020年4月より早稲田大学 基幹理工学部 情報理工学科 教授。

Kazue Sako has been engaged in research on Security, Privacy, and Commitment to Fairness at NEC Central Research Laboratories. Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Waseda University from April 2020.

原 航太郎 (Kotaro Hara) / シンガポールマネジメント大学　助教

2017年11月よりシンガポールマネジメント大学にて助教として勤務。2016年に米国、メリーランド大学カレッジパーク校にて博士号(コンピュータ科学)を取得。2016年9月から2017年9月までカーネギーメロン大学にてポストドクトラルフェロー。

Kotaro Hara is an Assistant Professor and a Lee Kong Chian Fellow in the SMU's School of Computing and Information Systems. His research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and accessibility. He focuses on design, development, and deployment of technologies that combine crowdsourcing and computation to support people with disabilities. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Robotics Institute and Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2017, where he worked with Prof. Aaron Steinfeld and Prof. Jeff Bigham. Before that, he was a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he was advised by Prof. Jon Froehlich.

川原 圭博 (Yoshihiro Kawahara) / 株式会社メルカリ 研究開発組織R4D (Head of Research)

2005年 東京大学大学院情報理工学系研究科 電子情報学専攻博士課程修了。博士（情報理工学）。東京大学大学院情報理工学系研究科助手、助教、講師、准教授を経て、2019年工学系研究科教授に就任。2015-2022年 JST ERATO川原万有情報網プロジェクト研究総括。2019年インクルーシブ工学連携研究機構長。また2019年よりメルカリR4D アドバイザリーボードメンバーを兼任し、2022年4月から Head of Research（所長）に就任。

Ph.D. in Information & Communication Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, in 2005. Ph.D. in Information Communication Engineering. After working as Research Assistant, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Associate Professor at Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, University of Tokyo, he was appointed Professor of School of Engineering in 2019. Research Director of JST Erato Kawahara Universal Information Network Project. Head of Research Institute for an Inclusive Society through Engineering(RIISE) since 2019. He also has a role as Advisory Board member at Mercari R4D from 2019, then appointed as Head of Research in April 2022.

多湖 真琴 (Makoto Tago) / 株式会社メルカリ 研究開発組織R4D (Manager)

弁理士。京都大学卒業後、開発職として富士通株式会社に勤務。2013年に弁理士資格を取得し、TMI総合法律事務所にて権利化から係争案件まで幅広い知財業務を担当。2018年、メルカリに入社後、知財チームの初期メンバーとして知財活動の立ち上げに従事。2019年よりR4Dを兼務しR4Dのガバナンス構築に尽力。2022年より現職。

Makoto Tago is a Patent Attorney. After graduating from Kyoto University, she worked for Fujitsu Limited as a developer. Qualified as a patent attorney in 2013, she was in charge of a wide range of IP work from acquisition of rights to contentious cases at TMI Associates. After joining Mercari in 2019, she helped launch IP activities as an early member of the IP team. She also has a role as R4D member in 2019 and devotes to the establishment of the R4D governance structure. She has been in her current position since 2022.
