メルカリのミッションを実現するため、複数のチームがMLを応用したプロダクトの企画、開発、分析を進めています。「Mercari ML&Search Talk」と題した一連のイベントでは、PMやMLエンジニアがメルカリで使われている技術やその応用について発表します。また、その後の質疑応答で発表の内容やみなさまから事前に頂いた質問について深堀りしていきます!

To realize Mercari's mission, we plan, develop, and analyze products that use ML. In a series of events entitled "Mercari ML&Search Talk," PMs and ML engineers will present the technologies used in Mercari and their applications. In addition, we will dig deeper into the presentations and the questions we received in advance in the Q/A session!

Examples of themes: Personalization at Mercari / Machine learning for understanding customers at Mercari

In #2, we will talk about ML for customer understanding mainly. At Mercari, we aim to improve marketing measures and respond to inquiries by estimating customer attributes and behaviors created by ML. We want to introduce a part of it.

登壇者プロフィール / Speakers

Lennart Jedele @Lennart

Lennart started his career as a Product Consultant at Tableau, working with clients across multiple industries to solve their problems using data. Later he specialized in online marketing and became a Product Manager at Rakuten AdRoll, building products in the ad-tech industry. He joined Mercari in October 2021 and is now leading the application of data science in real-life marketing problems.

Yilin Li @Yilin

Yilin joined Mercari in April 2019 and is now mainly in charge of the application of data science in marketing which uses statistics, ML, mathematical optimization, etc.

Kengo Arao @karolis

Kengo joined Mercari in Oct 2020 after completing his MSc in ML @ UCL, where he did research on embeddings.

Prashant Anand @prashant

Prashant joined Mercari in 2019. He specializes in applied machine learning. Say hi 👋 on Twitter @primaprashant.
